Delivery and Returns Policy

DELIVERIES

Delivery Times

  • Deliveries will generally be made between 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday (we don¹t deliver on bank holidays).
  • Where we cannot gain access to the delivery address on the agreed delivery date we shall not be responsible for these delays and any possible subsequent costs.

  • We will endeavour to arrange a convenient delivery time with you, but this may not be possible at the time that you place your order. We cannot guarantee delivery dates and times, but will give you an estimate.

Express Deliveries

  • Express delivery can be arranged for most of our products (excluding furniture and bathrooms).
  • There are additional charges for this service and we can provide you with a quote for this at the time you place your order or soon after. These deliveries will be made to the nearest point of access to your property.
  • This service is provided by a carrier operating on our behalf. For some products, the driver will require your assistance to offload the delivery.

Delivery Details

  • Our delivery charges apply to deliveries within most areas of the UK mainland. We will be happy to arrange deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and Islands. There will be an additional charge for this service. This will be quoted to you when or soon after we receive your order.
  • Deliveries will be made to the nearest point of access to your property and for some products; the driver may require your assistance to offload the delivery.
  • Delivery of all our products, except paint and wood flooring, is normally via our own in-house Home Delivery service.
  • For some areas such as Northern Ireland and Scotland we use carefully selected carriers.
  • For non-standard deliveries and special deliveries we will need to make additional charges. These will include deliveries above the first floor or deliveries requiring a small van for access. As an example, to enable us to deliver a cast iron bath upstairs, we will require you to provide 2 people on site to assist our 2 man delivery team. If you are unable to provide 2 people, we can arrange this for you at an additional charge.
  • Where we have been unable to deliver your products due to you not being able to accept delivery of them, we will need to charge you the redelivery costs.
  • We don¹t provide a storage facility. If it is not possible for us to deliver on the agreed date due to restrictions caused by you, we will charge a storage fee of £25 per week, for a maximum of 3 months, after which time the goods will be returned to stock, and a cancellation fee levied.
  • If we cannot contact you on the phone, we will write to you. We shall not be responsible for the delivery delays, so please ensure that at least two contact telephone numbers are provided at the time you place your order.
  • We carry the risk of loss or damage to the products until you receive them. The products will belong to you once you have received them and have paid us in full.  

  • Please check your products carefully on delivery. Any problems with the order must be reported to us within 7 working days of receipt of the order. We will endeavour to rectify the problem if the goods are damaged, incorrect, missing or faulty.
  • We advise against fitting to commence on the week of delivery as Fired Earth is unable to accept responsibility for lost working time in any eventuality.

Additional Points Relating To Furniture Deliveries

  • Our delivery team will unpack and assemble your furniture if required.
  • The delivery crews are not able to attempt delivery where damage to your home may result. Our delivery teams are unable to remove doors and windows.
  • Please check your furniture carefully whilst the delivery team is present. If you are unhappy with your delivery for any reason, please inform the delivery team, your local showroom or customer services.

COLLECTIONS

  • You can collect your order from our Adderbury Facility by special arrangement. Please call 01295 814399.

  • For all collections please carefully consider the maximum loading weight for your vehicle. For advice please call 01295 814399.

RETURNS

  • Please measure carefully when ordering as we cannot accept returns.

  • Estimates are provided in good faith and in accordance with guide lines set down by the trade. Please ensure that the estimated quantities are correct as the Company cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies.

Order Checklist
1.
Check the product specification in our Brochure.
2. If you require samples please purchase them from a showroom or call Direct Sales on 01295 814315.
3. Check delivery requirements and delivery costs, and place your order.
4. It is your responsibility to ensure that products ordered will fit into your home, particularly bathroom and furniture items.
    We will need help to offload large or heavy deliveries. Also that there is sufficient access for our delivery lorry to reach
    the delivery address. Please give us as much information as possible about access to your property, to help us make a 
    successful delivery.
5. An adult must be available at the address to check and sign for the delivery.
6. Please check your products carefully on delivery. Any problems with the order must be reported to us within 7 working days
    of receipt of the order.
