Crafted from cherry and beech, and available in eight carefully chosen Fired Earth paint colours, each piece faithfully adheres to the movements principles of form and function; 'Beauty rests on utility'.

The Original Shaker tables feature a cherry veneer tabletop that sits on a beech framework.

Original Shaker painted furniture is finished in Fired Earth acrylic eggshell, followed by a special hand process, which provides the patina. Finally a tough polyurethane varnish is applied. Due to the handcrafted finish the appearance may vary slightly.

Please Note: Dutch White does not feature the patina finish.

Cherry wood used in making the Shaker furniture will naturally exhibit colour and tonal variation and may contain some knots. It is likely that the colour of the cherry will change significantly over the first few months from pale pink to a dark reddish colour due to oxidisation, especially where exposed to direct sunlight.
