Fired Earth's Elements of Colour paint range - created in collaboration with Kevin McCloud, of channel 4's Grand Designs - is made in Britain from carefully selected pigments, minerals and resins chosen for their qualities of opacity, light fastness and durability.

The better the raw materials, the better the result, and there has been no compromise in the production of these beautiful, practical, hard wearing paints.

The Elements of Colour palette has been designed to help match colours effectively and a cleverly designed paint card illustrates which colours will work well together.

The paints are grouped into two-column families, one family to each page. You can refold the card to align different parts of the palette. Almost every colour will work with any other from the same line or column. The colours have depth and personality and, in the words of Kevin McCloud, are "supple, architectural, flexible and characterful."

With five finishes and a choice of 120 colours - from the pure marble white of the best-selling Bianco, to the warm, creamy tint of Oxford Ochre, and the rich darkness of Burnt Juniper - the Elements of Colour collection has everything to help realise an interior design vision.

The range has been formulated with the environment in mind, and the solvent level of all Fired Earth matt emulsion, eggshell and exterior masonry paint is within the officially designated 'low' category; 98% of Fired Earth paint sold is low or very low VOC.

The paint cans have just undergone a redesign and are now available in striking red and silver. Fired Earth paint is available from showrooms nationwide, as well as from selected Homebase stores.
