Celebrating the very best of British
At Fired Earth, we’re passionate about supporting British craftspeople and British Industry. | More than a third of our wall tiles are sourced in the UK, from artisan suppliers, such as Alice Gibbons, the Suffolk-based ceramicist behind the perennially popular Natural History and Chelsworth ranges. Fired Earth's English Craft wall tiles include quintessentially English designs such as the roses, bees and butterflies of the handmade Soho Garden range. The Fenlands tile range has been created for Fired Earth by ceramicist Sally Bourne. With subtle hues evocative of the English countryside, these hand-made, matt-finished tiles are equally at home in a traditional country cottage as an elegant town house. | | The hand-decorated Ironbridge and Early English Delft tiles are two examples of tile designs which are steeped in history yet work beautifully in today's home. The Ironbridge range is made at the Victorian Tile Works in Ironbridge, Shropshire, and the tile designs are taken from the original tiles in the adjacent Jackfield Museum's archives. The hand-made Early English Delft tile designs are Fired Earth's carefully researched interpretations of 16th Century Flemish decors. | | The freestanding Metro kitchen range combines the latest precision cabinetry with traditional craftsmanship and is handcrafted from walnut. It's made exclusively for Fired Earth by Roundhouse in the Malvern Hills of Worcestershire. The majority of Fired Earth's bathroom taps, mixers and showers - from the classically styled Avebury and Bastide ranges, to the contemporary Jura and Glacier collections - are made in the UK. They're superbly engineered from solid brass, electro-plated with chrome, and they're designed to perform day-in, day-out, to the highest level while being a beautiful addition to any bathroom. Also, more than 80% of our sanitaryware is made in Britain. | | Fired Earth is renowned for its sophisticated and subtle paint range designed in collaboration with writer and television presenter Kevin McCloud. The paint is made in the UK using a careful selection of pigments, minerals and resins chosen for their qualities of opacity, light fastness and durability. The vast majority of our paint also falls into the minimal VOC category. | Wherever possible, we look first to British companies and craftspeople when sourcing our product and we believe there is much talent to celebrate within the UK.
