Fired Earth campaign will help protect our nation's heritage

In celebration of Fired Earth’s 25th anniversary the company is launching a campaign to raise funds in support of the work of the National Trust.

National Trust

The initiative – which begins on May 1 – will support the Trust’s work of protecting and opening to the public more than 300 historic houses and gardens and 49 industrial monuments and mills, as well as the work it does in looking after natural features, archaeological remains, castles, nature reserves and villages – for ever and for everyone.

Fired Earth already has a relationship with the National Trust through its holiday cottage business and there is a real synergy in the outlook of both of these British organisations, with each placing great importance on the place of colour in our living environment and on environmental issues.

Fired Earth will be making a donation to the Trust from sales of its paint – produced in collaboration with Kevin McCloud, with whom the company has been working for more than nine years to create beautiful, relevant colour palettes.

A donation will be made of up to 50p per can of paint sold in Fired Earth stores and through independent stockists.

John Stachiewicz, of the National Trust, said: “We are delighted to be working so closely with Fired Earth, who have chosen to support the work of the National Trust through this exciting fund-raising activity. The quality and ethos behind Fired Earth products forms an ideal basis for a relationship between our two organisations.”National Trust

Rob Whitaker, from Fired Earth, said: “We see this as strengthening our relationship with the National Trust and are looking forward to supporting them. The work they do in saving buildings, the coastline and the countryside for the nation is hugely important and we’re thrilled to be supporting such a worthwhile cause.”

Kevin McCloud said of the partnership: “I’m delighted we’re working to raise funds for the National Trust through sales of our paint. The Trust is a diadem among organisations, working tirelessly to save buildings and landscapes that matter.”

Notes to Editors
For each 5L can of Fired Earth paint sold, the company will donate 50p. For a 2.5L can, it will donate 30p and for a 750ml can, 20p will be donated. The UK-made paint is available from Fired Earth’s 58 stores nationwide and online.

Fired Earth’s paint palette – created in collaboration with Kevin McCloud – comprises 120 exclusive colours and five finishes.
