SAMPLES

Once you have our tiles in front of you we're confident you'll be dreaming up your next home project.

At Fired Earth we know that creating a look you love is all in the planning and that begins with finding the very best tile for your scheme. That’s why we offer up to four cut samples free of charge and we’ll cover the postage cost too if you order online.  Alternatively, you can pick up free cut samples in one of our showrooms.

Our larger format and plain tiles are available in cut samples which are 10cm square cut pieces, which give you the feel of the tile without the hard to handle size.

For our more decorative tiles we think you need to see the whole thing so we'll charge you the cost of one tile, with free delivery for up to four sample tiles from our website.

You are just a few steps away from your dream scheme…

1. Inspiration and Ideas

You'll find every tile we have on our website, alongside everything you need to know about it from the material and suitability down to the little details of fossils or brush strokes. We've also shared pictures of the tiles as they look laid, alongside some inspiration from our customer's homes.

We're here to guide you every step of the way to make sure you find exactly what you're looking for. If you need a helping hand you can pop into your local showroom or ring our Online Sales Team from the comfort of your home.

2. Place your order

If you’re collecting your samples from one of our showroom, simply phone ahead to make sure they’re in stock and then just pop along and pick them up at a time that suits you. Whilst you're there you might just find something else to take home!

If you’re ordering online, just add the samples to your basket. You can order up to four cut samples completely free, or order more than four and we'll just charge delivery. We'll give you an estimated delivery day when you checkout, but it's usually within four working days.

3. The exciting part

Once you have your samples in hand it's time to start getting creative.

Try them in the room you plan to use them in, see how the natural light falls on them throughout the day, and check they complement existing colours and textures in your home. Take them with you when you're choosing other aspects of your project like cabinet colours or accessories.

Once you've narrowed down your choices you can order your tiles through our website, showrooms or our Online Sales Team.

4. Return, Re-use, Recycle

If you’ve bought full tile samples and wish to return them, just bring them into your local showroom and we’ll give you a refund, or you can post them back to us instead.

If you ordered cut samples then you can find something inventive to do with them. Cut samples, or even small tiles make great coasters, plant stands and crafting material.

Check out our 'remarkable remakes' on Instagram for some ideas, we would love to see what you come up with!

By the mid 1990s, the company had grown from its humble beginnings on an Oxfordshire farm to having a number of showrooms in London and across the country.

Today, we have 27 showrooms in the UK and expect to add two more in the coming year, including a brand-new destination store on New Kings Road in London.

The company began in an Oxfordshire farmyard in the early 1980s, selling terracotta floor tiles at a time when they were relatively unknown by the British public and weren’t available in tile shops.

They proved hugely popular, and we opened a small London showroom selling just six different tiles. Customers began requesting glazed wall tiles to complement their terracotta floors and we sourced a small selection of other glazed tiles and put together a brochure covering our entire offering.
