Our interior trend forecast for 2025

Open Instagram, scroll through Pinterest, or flick through the magazines, and you’ll be met with an array of inspiring interior trends for 2025. At Fired Earth, our passion lies in creating beautiful, timeless products that are made to stand the test of time. But timeless design doesn’t have to ignore modern influences. In fact, the right balance of enduring style and contemporary trends can elevate a space. Here’s how we make it happen...

COLOUR DRENCHING

Where once bold colours were used as an accent in a room, today it’s all about Colour Drenching. 2024 saw an increase in popularity in our bolder statement paint colours, with the real winners being the deeper tones, such as Malachite, Dragon’s Blood and Carragheen– however in 2025 the trend takes it one step further. Colour Drenching is growing in popularity – from what was once only a paint trend, it is now expanding to include tiles and basins as well. We know that choosing the right shade of paint can take time, so once you’ve made the hard decision why not embrace it.

How to bring it to life in your home

Think about the room you’re decorating, how do you want it to feel? When colour drenching, bold colours work well.

Remember colour drenching is no longer just about paint, combining colour-matched tiles and basins into your scheme adds texture and interest into a space while maintaining a sense of cohesion throughout the room. Matching your cabinetry to your chosen palette helps it fade into the background – storage is key to any room, but it doesn’t always need to be the focal point.

MEMBERS CLUB

Who doesn’t love to peek inside the latest member’s club. Where modern minimalism pairs with a luxe twist to create clean lines, open spaces and always a touch of elegance. Where beautiful marble such as our Blends collection are stylishly laid alongside statement making baths - this combination ensures the sophistication in the space does not become overwhelming.

Texture and pattern come together effortlessly, blending comfort with impact to create a luxurious vibe in a relaxed setting. Who says a roll-top bath belongs only in the bathroom? Achieving that 'members club' feel might just mean incorporating a copper bath into your bedroom design...

How to bring it to life in your home

The key to creating a Members Club feel is using elegant designs that provide function as well as comfort. Create a zen-like bathroom that oozes relaxation, or opt for deep rich tones to create an intimate and cosy atmosphere, reminiscent of high-end lounges.

Create depth with luxurious textures - use natural materials like marble, brass, and wood for tables and shelving, and enhance soft furnishings by combining plush velvets with airy linens that complement the room’s tones.

Think about lighting – statement brass wall sconces in bathrooms, or table lamps with fabric shades add a sense of elegance, while dimmable lighting creates a warm and inviting ambience.

Think about the details – that curated collection of books, a special piece of artwork, an antique chair, all add that personal touch. Finish with a scented candle or diffuser and you would almost forget you were in your own home.

EARTHY NEUTRALS

This year, soft, earthy tones inspired by natural materials are replacing those cooler hues, bringing warmth and a more organic feel to interiors. Colours like clay, terracotta, beige, taupe, and sand define this trend, offering versatile shades that work beautifully as a foundation or layered for a tonal effect.

Subtle contrasts add depth and visual interest while maintaining a serene ambiance, as showcased in our neutral Tibur chequerboard.

Combining neutral tiles with pattern, texture, natural wood, and greenery strengthens the connection to nature, embracing the principles of biophilic design.

The emphasis on muted, neutral shades ensures lasting appeal, making it the perfect choice for creating timeless and elegant spaces.

Painting walls in soft beige, taupe, or clay tones—such as Wax MyrtleEcru and Amber Gris —creates a serene, calming backdrop. Pair this with an organic, natural tile like our Medina Zellige to introduce texture and visual interest to walls or floors.

For flooring, incorporating stone or wood-effect tiles enhances the natural aesthetic while adding depth and durability.

When furnishing these spaces, choose linen fabrics, wooden furniture, and natural finishes. Layering elements like wool throws, jute rugs, and textured cushions brings warmth and richness to the overall design.

QUIET LUXURY

Celebrating natural materials, quality craftmanship and thoughtfully subtle design – it’s no wonder Quiet Luxury remains one of the top trends for 2025.

A refreshing shift away from the flashy opulence luxury that whispers to you rather than shouts 'look at me'. A celebration of high-quality hand crafted materials such as marble, terracotta and zellige are favoured for their enduring style compared to other fleeting trends. This trend is all about creating a pared-back aesthetic which feels calm, where we celebrate the perfectly imperfect nature of natural materials. Where the subtle salt pits of zellige tiles reveal their handcrafted story, and elegant marble not only holds its beauty but gracefully develops a rich patina, adding depth, character, and warmth to a space.

How to bring it to life in your home

Bringing the trend of quiet luxury to life in your home starts with choosing the right natural material, the key is to create a serene and sophisticated space with timeless appeal.

Think about the feel you want, adding a terracotta floor to a kitchen or bathroom adds warmth as well as texture to a room.  Marbles don't have to be neutral – our Monet collection mixes the most popular marbles into one tile which creates a real statement when laid.

Opt for hardware and finishes in brushed metals or aged brass for a refined look.

CHEQUERBOARD

Chequerboard patterns have long been a design staple, offering versatile looks that work in any setting from traditional to contemporary. 2025 sees chequerboards reimagined, the classic black and white look still holds a place in our heart, however, we’re also loving the versatility of adding colour into the mix for a more playful element.

How to bring it to life in your home

Whether you’re using tiles on your walls or floors, or tile drenching your bathroom like @humbugcurates, chequerboards add a timeless appeal to your interiors.

Experiment with size – whether you go for an oversized look using our Tibur collection, blending it’s muted tones, or add an innovative twist to the chequerboard pattern by playing with vertical and horizontal lines to create a cross-hatch effect with our Nina Campbell Rivage to create a striking effect.
