Green Kitchen Tiles
Green is one of those colours that works harder than it looks. It can sit quietly in a neutral scheme or anchor a room entirely on its own. And in the kitchen, it's a colour that tends to feel right over time.
Whether you're drawn to something chalky and soft or deep and saturated, we've sourced green kitchen tiles across a range of tones, finishes and formats. Here's how to find the one that's right for you.
Sage green kitchen tiles
Sage is a reliable starting point. It reads differently in morning light than it does by evening, and that shifting quality is part of what makes it so good to live with. It tends to work well alongside aged brass, warm stone and unfinished wood. But it's also quiet enough to let other elements lead.
It tends to suit both traditional and contemporary kitchens. And because it doesn't shout, it tends to last.
Dark green kitchen tiles
Dark green kitchen tiles are a more decisive choice. Used on a splashback, an island surround or a recessed alcove, they add depth to a space without crowding it. The key is intention: pair them with unlacquered brass or natural stone and the result feels considered rather than heavy.
Not sure dark green will work in your kitchen? Order a sample. The difference between a tile photograph and the real thing in your own light is significant.
Green kitchen wall tiles: formats worth knowing
The format you choose shapes the feel of the space as much as the colour. A few of the most useful options to consider:
Green metro kitchen tiles: rectangular tiles, typically with a bevelled edge that catches the light and gives each tile definition. Lay them in a brick bond for a traditional feel, or stack them vertically for a more contemporary look.
Zellige: individually moulded from a blend of local clay, fired, glazed and fired again. The variation in tone, texture and surface that results from this process means each tile is unique.
Large format: a bigger tile reduces grout lines and creates a cleaner, more continuous surface. In a muted sage or forest green, the effect can feel almost painterly.
