What Is the Shoreline Paint Collection?
Shoreline is a small, carefully edited palette of twelve paint colours. Livingetc described the range as having a genuinely calming softness, with each shade inspired by the sort of tones you'd find around the beach. The aim is simple: a palette that's easy to put together and just as easy to live with once it's on the wall.
Why Did Livingetc's Judges Choose Shoreline?
Livingetc's write up praised Shoreline for exactly this ease. Digital editor Hugh Metcalf said that putting the colours together, in any combination, makes a home feel like "a real haven". It's a fair reflection of what the palette does: it gives you a calm, considered scheme without a lot of second guessing.

”What Are the Livingetc Style Awards?
The Livingetc Style Awards are an annual prize from the interiors title Livingetc. Its judges pick out the launches they feel have shaped how homes look and feel, across categories from wallcoverings to fabrics to paint. For the 2026 decorating category, the judges pointed to a broader trend: paint being used with far more creative confidence than in previous years. Shoreline took the Paint Collection title in that line-up, alongside winners including Farrow & Ball and Fromental in other categories.
How Can You Use the Shoreline Palette at Home?
A small, coordinated palette like Shoreline is easiest to use if you keep a few simple habits in mind. Here are three worth trying:
Pick two or three shades from the collection and use them together in one room, so the scheme feels cohesive rather than pieced together
Test your chosen shades in the room itself before committing, since light changes how any colour reads through the day
Use a lighter shade on the walls and a deeper one from the same palette on the woodwork, for gentle contrast without losing that calm feel
None of this needs to be complicated. Start with one room, live with it for a few days, then build from there.
